The exquisitely produced first monograph on innovative and influential British designer Paul Cocksedge

The internationally acclaimed, London-based designer Paul Cocksedge has spent the last two decades building a reputation for experimental multidisciplinary work infused with a sense of simplicity, joy, and wonder. With his keen interest in science and a fascination with how people interact with design, Cocksedge channels his curiosity into creating thought-provoking pieces that challenge perceptions of everyday objects.

This career-spanning and highly personal first monograph showcases in extraordinary detail Cocksedge’s lighting, product design, architectural projects, installations, and sculpture, including work for Flos, Moooi, Swarovski, Hermès, Friedman Benda, and Carpenter’s Workshop.

Designed to feel like an exploration of Cocksedge’s own sketchbook, the beautifully produced volume features hundreds of previously unpublished images from his archives, including sketches, drawings, Polaroid photos, and ephemera. Interspersed throughout on tipped-in tracing paper are interviews and essays from key figures in the design industry including Marc Benda and Ron Arad.

Paul Cocksedge studied under the mentorship of Ron Arad at the Royal College of Art in London. Graduating with an MA in Product Design in 2002, he went on to co-found his eponymous studio with business partner, fellow RCA graduate Joana Pinho in 2004. Today he lives and works in Hackney, East London.
