James D. Dilworth has been involved in creative endeavors throughout his life and is an award-winning artist, writer, filmmaker, and performer. James has a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, attended the University of Nevada, Reno, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Master’s Degree in Education from Sierra Nevada College, and a Doktorate of the Forbidden Sciences from the Church of the SubGenius. He currently teaches English and Drama in Public Schools and also works as a freelance writer, editor, and tutor. Music is his first love and he sings and plays the Alto, Melody, Soprano and Tenor Saxophones, Guitar, Piano and Flute. James is a writer of poetry, translations of French poetry and prose, short stories, essays, novels, screenplays and stage plays and has been published in several publications and publishes a literary ’zine called Non- Creative Garbage. James has been involved with several theatrical and dramatic arts companies, and recently has written directed, and produced his own films, which have entered competitions and have been chosen as final selections. As a visual artist, James has staged performance art exhibitions at the NADAdada Motel in Reno, Nevada for several years, using manual typewriters to create poetry, stories, and rants by suggestions from his audience. James enjoys movies foreign and domestic, books ancient and modern, glorious food, all kinds of music and concerts, art museums and the people in them, the San Francisco Giants and good baseball games, bike riding and exercising, swimming with the sharks in the deep end, travel and travail, driving at night and listening to AM Radio, the Internets, long walks off of a short beach and playing Solitaire all night in the dark.
