If you can make it there... Confessions of a Female Safety Engineer is a memoir about a woman working in New York City as a heavy construction site safety manager, in an industry that far more conservative than most of NYC. The men of heavy construction—and they were men, mostly—built things, were extremely practical, and were skeptical of me as an oddity. Most of them became my mentors, my co-workers, and my friends. Some were not supportive, but that was rare.

This is the story of what it was like to be an accidental feminist, an unintentional trailblazer.
