PREMISE: It's Christmas in Erie, Pennsylvania, and everyone is home for the holidays enjoying festive music, good company, and eggnog. But while the city is making merry, Lena, a troubled young woman living in solitude, is solicited by an old acquaintance of hers in the state police department. Lena is asked to help the FBI track down two missing girls connected to a double homicide case she was involved in over five years earlier. Now, working as a confidential informant, Lena must assume the identity of a prostitute down on her luck while entering the city's seedy underbelly in search of two missing girls and a predator lurking in the darkest corners of the internet. But just as Lena loses all hope, she forms an unlikely romance with a young high school runaway named Stephan, a timid boy who actually believes her to be a prostitute. Now, torn between the only life she's ever known, and the possibility of starting over, Lena must come face to face with a past riddled with death, abuse, suicide, drug-addiction, and violence.
