Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California, Suzanne Allen teaches writing. She has an MFA in Poetry from California State University, Long Beach, and she is a Pushcart Prize nominee with poems published in journals and anthologies around the world, such as Cider Press Review, Pearl, Nerve Cowboy, Hobo Camp Review, Not a Muse: the Inner Lives of Women, a World Poetry Anthology (Haven Books); Veils, Halos & Shackles, (Kasva Press); Villanelles, (Everyman’s Library Pocket Poet Series). She is a co-editor of The Bastille: The Literary Magazine of Spoken Word Paris, and the founder of Small Fish Big Pond. Her first chapbook, verisimilitude, is available from Corrupt Press. She lives in Long Beach with her Shih Tzu, Filou.
