At a disorderly boarding school in the countryside, a crew of contrary teachers and mischievous students try their best to make it through their days...
Mr Haston, who they’d call a seasoned teacher, is a man in his 50s with a caustic personality and a split reputation among his students and colleagues. Although he already has too much on his plate, he has recently taken it upon himself to mentor a freshly graduated teacher - Mr Nicholson. He is a gullible and good-natured young man who is reluctant to adopt the traditional practice. Besides mentoring this new teacher, Mr Haston has a handful of obnoxious colleagues and prefects to protect his students from, as well as a good number of rowdy students to manage.
Harry and his mates belong to those who Mr Haston needs to keep an extra eye on. They really are good-hearted teens, but their lack of control over their impish spirits and boyish curiosity leads them more than often into trouble, and their differences give their teachers a reason to frown upon them.
Meanwhile, Headmaster Hastings is on the brink of giving up and letting Mr Haston replace him, but his hunger for money keeps him puffing on his pipe in the office whilst the school is turned upside down.
