When Emmeline murdered her hateful, abusive parents, she didn't think that she'd end up in a place like the Guild, surrounded by people who think of themselves as vigilantes. With Henry, a woman with a knack for the unusual, and Cyril, whose brain seems capable of holding all of the information in the world, Emmeline realizes that not everyone is a good person, and sometimes, those not-so-good people need to make room for better people. Just when she thought she had gotten used to the idea of vigilante justice, however, another threat creeps in to the strange story that has become her life.
