Eddy Brodsky finds a human tooth in the Don River in Toronto while taking water samples for a questionable real estate deal. Against all reason, he believes that the tooth comes from a man who jumped from the High Level Bridge in Edmonton in 1966. The tooth becomes a talisman for Eddy as his life falls apart. In quick order, he loses his wife, home, job and standing in the scientific community. Every effort he makes to return to his old life leads him farther away. Eddy’s journey takes him across the country and through his own history, back to his childhood home. Sometimes finding the past is the only way forward.
