Earth is dying. An experimental space ship leaves Earth for the outer edges of the solar system, searching for a safe route to another star system. Can the spaceship get back to Earth with the knowledge its politicians need to save humanity and nine year old Angela Leland? Planetfall: Childhood's End is a bridging short story that connects book 1: All Fall Down and book 2: Children of Fall (due the end of 2015). It introduces major new characters and themes to the Planetfall universe.
