group communication in context: studies in bona fide groups

An emerging perspective in the study of communication, the bona fide group perspective recognizes that any group, whether a family or international team, must be studied and understood within the multiple contexts in which it is embedded and that affect who is considered to be part of the group, what occurs within that group, and how that group interacts with other groups. Research collected here demonstrates the promise of the bona fide group perspective in research practice and showcases the methodological approaches that can be used to study bona fide group communication.
