through danger and blinding blizzards to

transport vital diphtheria antitoxin to isolated

Nome, Alaska. He was best known for that

wonderful effort, but in fact he already had

many outstanding achievements to his credit,

and continued to serve his master, the great

musher Leonhard Seppala, for years to come.
