The Gap will transport you from a mundane schoolboy existence to a post-apocalyptic struggle for survival as England is plunged into chaos.

From the moment a charismatic but troubled teenager sets out to spread anarchy, the fragile structures set up to contain him and his fellow schoolchildren prove shakier than he could have imagined. Fermenting global pressures explode simultaneously leading to a total breakdown of law and order. Themes of alienation are explored; is there a widening ’gap’ between our teens and their elders? Can a group of friends thrust into this new reality take charge of their own destinies as they negotiate their way to safety?

Despite the chaos of this new world, it has a moral heart in the camaraderie of the group of friends who find a new maturity, experience their first tastes of romantic relationships, and pool their resources as they embark upon a daring escape mission.
