Intended to be a trilogy, The Legend of Stovepipe Peat focuses on the lives of Jacob and Martha Biddle. After meeting at a tech company in Seattle, the young couple wed and relocate to Principio Furnace, Maryland, after his parents are killed in a car accident. They take over the family business, Biddle Farms. The main harvest is pumpkins.

After an unprecedented storm erupts in Principio, a child is found abandoned in the pumpkin patch behind the popular Biddle roadside market. The story blossoms into different directions from there, with unexpected twists and turns that happen in Maryland and in Pennsylvania and impact people and communities in each area. It’s a journey.
