Yet, inside I hurt so much. No one really knew how badly I was suffering. I covered my pain just like how we cover our paper cuts- with a bandaid. I was sexually assaulted at the age of eighteen. Nikki G. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A year after graduating from college, she picked up and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. Nikki never dreamed of writing books even though when she was younger she would write short stories. Instead, she dreamed of writing scripts for plays, television, and films as well as acting and performing in them.
