Dan and his friends love multi-player video gaming so much they are planning their own game design studio. When a gang of drug dealers mistake them for competition, it's no big deal. They can talk their way out and they have the documents to back them up. The criminals are halfway convinced there's no problem there, but new dealers are moving into their territory and someone is killing their enforcers.

A national crime syndicate wouldn't keep it a secret if they wanted to take over the Carten gang. They'd force their way in with muscle and guns. A local gang would need to be sneaky. The huge marijuana growing operation that has been supplying the Carten's for years is somehow associated with the gamers. They've never been able to learn the name of the grow-op boss. Has he decided to cut them out and sell directly? Are the Carten enforcers being killed so they are distracted from driving the new dealers out of town?
Dan and the other gamers don't understand the ongoing gang interest. They want nothing to do with organized crime. All they want is to start their own legitimate business. Drug dealing goes against their interests. Now someone has stolen their game design and set up a competing game studio. Plans for the gamer's studio are in jeopardy and the gang killings are accelerating to mass murder. When a sniper tries to take out all the gamers at a single meeting, they must hide or accept death.
