Amanda and her sister Mandy are identical twins, but they rarely see each other because they live so far apart. 

Amanda is a young entrepreneur living in the windy city of Chicago, and her investments have amassed her a small fortune. Mandy works as an insurance adjuster in California, and they only see each other on special occasions and vacations. 

Amanda receives word that Mandy has died, and she goes there to find out what happened. A young man 10 years younger than her mistakes her for her twin sister, and they begin a torrid love affair. She then finds out that her sister hasn't really died, but is instead missing and presumed dead. 

She decides to stick around under the guise of her sister's life, and soon finds out that Mandy was getting close to a truth that shouldn't be revealed.
