Beulah in Bethlehem is a charming tale of the Epiphany.
Exquisitely illustrated by Nansea MacMillan, it is the gentle tale of how Beulah the donkey protects her 'special' family from the unexpected arrival of three strange men riding on enormous camels. Relying on her strong donkey instincts, however, she lets them enter the stable, and when she sees the men kneel down before the newborn baby she is convinced of what she knew all along; that this baby is very special. Her loyalty is called upon the next morning when the family must flee before the strangers' reported threats of a bad man. It is never in doubt.
