Scott Newberger learned about setting and achieving goals at an early age when he decided he wanted to try out for the high school football team although he had never played any organized sports. He had been heavy set as a boy and was always picked last during any athletic endeavors. Through his faith in God and with the help of friends and family, Scott was excited to reach his goal and made the second of two freshman football teams, even though he was last string. Prayers and hard work helped him improve and by the end of the year he was starting. Eventually he started on varsity and became the captain of the high school football team. This and other events helped Scott to believe that dreams can be achieved. He also learned the process that allows success.
