HAYA MARAKA is a stylist and luxury expert, influencer, who writes on the subjects of etiquette, couture, and reviving glamour for the everyday. Although she may be in any city or country at any given time now, she is Dallas, Texas-born and was raised in Saudi Arabia before moving to Dubai at a very young age. She lives between homes in Switzerland, London, and New York City, and continues today to draw inspiration from her global travels and fashion heritage to offer a fresh take on cultivating personal style. Haya grew up in her grandmother’s atelier, where she learned about Coco Chanel and the difference between fashion and style. While attending Switzerland’s Brilliantmont boarding school, Haya’s inherent talent for fashion was discovered by a local luxury vintage shop. Recognizing her natural eye, the shop soon put the seventeen-year-old in charge of buying and visual merchandising. (Her most prized flea-market find is a vintage trunk worth 31,000 that once belonged to Princess Yasmin, Rita Hayworth’s daughter.) After completing a degree in fashion business at London’s prestigious Istituto Marangoni, Haya moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion and to write on subjects that inspire women to search inside in order to choose how they want to look on the outside. In a world of instant gratification and over-exposure, today’s women are struggling to understand fashion and make it their own, in a timeless, iconic way. Through her work as a stylist to elite clientele, her international travels, her heartbreaks, and her daily adventures, Haya’s timely explorations in print and online define a comprehensive approach to exploring and defining the ideal modes and manners of today’s modern woman.
