Taj Shotwell Born Theresa Ann James, "Taj", in Ft. Eustis, VA. She is the sixth child of eleven children raised by a mobile career Army sergeant and homemaker. Many of her adolescent years were spent in Memphis, TN. Shotwell is a retired, fully honored, university professor of business and educational leadership. Shotwell published several educational research articles and textbook. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree in international and multinational business from the Golden Gate University; and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of San Francisco. She enjoys a healthy life style as a certified aerobic and fitness instructor; and teaches dance fitness classes at various gyms, churches and centers throughout the USA and internationally. Shotwell is the founder and president of the Business of Arts Academy, Inc., a day and boarding high school for performing artists with a unique concept that is in the making. She is a novelist, screenplay writer, playwright, and lyricist. Shotwell is the author of a family drama stage play and screenplay entitled, "Maggie: Never Bitter" and a novel, "Middle Child: Build a fence all around me."
