The online posting of an Oyster Island treasure map leads to murder

The opening of the safe at the Majestic revealed several old documents, one of them a treasure map drawn by the pirate Jean Lafitte. Eddie Toledo and Basil Doles rediscover the old map after finding a dead man on the beach. A single clue leads back to the treasure map and perhaps provides a motive for the murder.

Who is Amani LeClair? Where is she from, and what is she doing on the island? Is she somehow responsible for the murder? Is the murderer even human?
