Introduction 1. Well-being from Ancient Indian view: - Indian Culture is full of religion and spirituality. Well-being was explained as the individual’s ability of life enjoyment and receiving resilience. Well-being is a positive attribute reflected as the individual’s capability to make efforts for creative life and the ability to manage challenges of life also. Dhairyam (1961) indicated the unique feature of spirituality in Indian culture. Indian thinking emphasizes on enormous potential hidden in human being. It was tried to develop so many techniques to increase consciousness. Spirituality in Indian context was utilized for both the assessment and treatment. Individuals, moral values and spirituality play an important role in the process of experienced level of well-being. Well-being depends largely upon mental peace. Many type of human illness like Insomnia, hysteria, anxiety, stress and other mental disorders can be treated with the help of yogic Asanas, pranayam and appropriate diet control techniques. Similarly spiritual meetings, Satsang, Bhajans work as effective tool for mental peace and consequent level of experienced wellbeing.
