When the Wolf King loses his howl, he descends to Earth on a quiet mission of revenge: to steal a child to use as ransom.

Marama, a wilful girl struggling with the death of her beloved, but wayward father, is forced on a dreamlike odyssey to try and retrieve her kidnapped sister.

On her way she befriends an astronaut with a helmet full of tears; a dog from the stars; and a witch, Eloise. But the true battle lies within Marama, who must confront her denial of her father’s true character, before she can ever hope to bring her sister home.
