Robert E. Bowen is a news analyst, retired business owner, and former three-term Colorado State Representative. He enrolled in Metropolitan State College in 1968, where he received a BA in History. Robert lived through the events chronicled in this book, including the lowering of the voting age to eighteen and the nationwide protests against the Vietnam War. When colleges throughout the U.S. rioted after Kent State, Robert was instrumental in preventing violence on Colorado campuses. Since retirement, Robert continues to be involved with grass roots politics. He analyzes international, national, local, and environmental news through his two online columns. His hobbies include genealogy and writing history in the context of the times.
