even though we can’t escape the storms of our past

we must not let them affect us in the moment-

instead we ought to take a step, a moment to think

a moment to reflect

a moment to twirl our thoughts into a beautiful flower

a moment to dance with our mind,

letting joy take over.

the past hurts, there’s no denying that.

but the present is here and now,

so bright, so joyous, so hopeful-

healing begins here. healing begins now.
