Chinese Cutlure Series, edited by Prof. Shee Sung and Wang Kangling, comprises a collection of publications on Chinese Culture published in English.

Th purpose of the Chinese Culture Series is to provide materials and information in the fields of Chinese philosophy, literature, history, political science, and art for readers, both Chinese and foreigners, who are interested in Chinese studies.

Series I in 12 volumes is in the process of publication. Except The Essence of Chinese Culture, Tides from the West, Chinese History of Fifty Centuries, and The Chinese Spirit, the other volumes in Series I consist of articles selected from Chinese Culture, a quarterly published by the China Academy. These articles are grouped together according to subject matter and published in book form. The writers of these articles are learned Chinese and foreign scholars. The opinions expressed in them are personal views of the authors and do not necessarily represent the opinions of the editors or of the publisher. However, they shed light on their respective subjects and are helpful to the study of Chinese culture in general.
