Janette Sargent-Hamill holds a B.A. in Gerontology and has worked in the filed of healthy aging since 1994. After filming interviews of her parents in the 1990’s she realized the importance of capturing family stories to share with future generations. After studying film making for two years, Janette created Windward Productions in 2005. She assists families to interview elders, gather music, photos and other historical memorabilia and weave them together to create a meaningful tribute. Janette also facilitates workshops in California and Hawaii that lead participants step-by-step through the process of creating their own family histories.
