Although not lonely, Afia doesn’t feel completely fulfilled in life and decides that the only way she can fill that void is by finding answers in a change of scenery. This calls for a solo adventure in Europe.

Afia has a battle against sense and sensibility, as Lisbon is powerfully mysterious, attractive and truly fascinating. In one word, seductive! On her journey, Afia tries to romanticise her life, and she makes - what she believes to be - a mistake. Has she been foolish to have allowed this to happen?
