Today’s information society stipulates that access to information, as well as the use of technology to aid this access, has become essential to social development. As such, the legal world is also linked to the information society, especially in the current concept of technological access to justice. One of the consequences of this process is access to legal information, so that the ideal of open justice becomes necessary for the realization of access to justice, since it strives for openness, especially of data from the Judiciary. To this end, the research aims to clarify the concept of open justice, as well as its influence on access to justice. In addition, as a problematization, the question arises as to how the Brazilian Judiciary can improve to make open justice effective in all its breadth. As a result, we come to the conclusion that a lot needs to be done, both by society and the public administration, in order to apply what has already been established constitutionally for a long time.
