A novel about a man who is bored and finds pleasure in manipulating people and the naive young woman who is snared in his trap. Beginning not-so-innocently enough in his manipulative style, he finds he wants more and becomes motivated to continue and dominate in his relationship with her with or without her consent. Their relationship becomes a very serious game in which neither is in control and they need to come to a resolution together to survive.
