Lost in the Fog is a life changing short story. It is a deep, compelling character sketch of William McIntrye, a young adult dampened by the dreary city which encompasses him. William grandly contemplates direction, dreams and life only to be lost in his own delusions and sucked into the fallen, dying city that birthed him. This short story frighteningly exemplifies the reality of failure and the unfortunate circumstances nature versus nurture plays in society. With a little over 2,000 words this author manages to capture the fear felt by rural and cosmopolitan dwellers alike, fighting to succeed against the inescapable odds of defeat and the mundane, poor life that the majority of us construct for ourselves.  This 99 Cent Story is worth every penny.
