Naryan, the heir apparent to Satoria, has always preferred the company of wine over the weight of responsibility. When his father, the king, mysteriously dies, Satoria’s future falls into his incapable hands, and Naryan must learn to tame his vices or risk plunging the kingdom into further chaos.

While still learning to navigate his new role as king, an enigmatic Mage-an Erilaz-appears, wielding magic once thought lost to time. In a kingdom where sorcery has been forgotten, this display of power stirs fear and unrest among the people. Civil upheaval erupts, and to top it all off, the neighboring kingdom of Chromer declares war on them in their weakened state.
