I discovered a knack for drawing when my kindergarten teacher praised me lavishly for drawing crayon people who actually looked like people, and the bird scribbles on the back of the paper were even more recognizable. After thirty years in health care, I rediscovered my love for art and began sketching on my Ipad. I use it to digitally hand paint my stories, make personalized cards for family and friends, and sketch from the photographs I take. I have written three children’s books: "A Tiny Fish Tale," "The Four Promises", and "My Trip to Washington." My stories are based on real-life experiences. I am also a winner in The New Yorker 2012 Eustace Tilley contest. I write a daily blog about the differences between living on Capitol Hill and in Milwaukee, and incorporate my art, photographs, and web albums.
