Shem Wambugu Maingi, is a Lecturer and researcher in Tourism
Management at the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Kenyatta
University in Kenya. Dr Shem Maingi has widely published in Scopus indexed
journals and books internationally and has edited and authored books on the
future and resilience of tourism. He is also an expert member of the
International Scientific Committee on Cultural Tourism of ICOMOS (ICTC) as well
as the IUCN WCPA Tourism and Protected Areas Specialist Group TAPAS. Dr. Maingi is also an a Board member of Ecotourism Kenya’s National
Eco-rating and Standards Committee and has been involved in Environmental
conservation through Ecotourism Certifications assessments and Tourism
Standards formulation.
Dr Vanessa
(Gaitree) Gowreesunkar is an
Associate Professor at Anant National University and has varied research
interests in tourism. Vanessa also serves as
Associate Editor at the Emerald International Journal of Tourism Cities.
She is an
editorial board member of several scientific journals and has a number of
publications in Scopus-Indexed journals. She has been the main editor of
several international textbooks and author of a number of research articles and
book chapters. She has been conferred various awards for her contribution in
research and woman empowerment in Mauritius, India and Africa, the latest one
being the Global Women Leadership Award by Ministry of MSME (Government of
India), WASME and SME Street Foundation. Dr Vanessa’s research interest is in
the following broad fields - tourism, social entrepreneurship, tourism
management and marketing, sustainable tourism, island tourism, and related
topics.
Maximiliano
E. Korstanje is
a Senior Researcher in the Department of Economics at University of Palermo,
Argentina. He is Editor in Chief of International Journal of Safety and
Security in Tourism (UP Argentina) and Editor in Chief Emeritus of International
Journal of Cyber Warfare and Terrorism (IGI-Global US). In addition, he
is a global affiliate of Tourism Crisis Management Institute (University of
Florida US), Centre for Ethnicity and Racism Studies (University of Leeds), The
Forge (University of Lancaster and University of Leeds UK) and The
International Society for Philosophers, hosted in Sheffield UK. With more than
1200 published papers and 35 books, he now co-edits almost 10 specialized
journals and takes part of almost 30 journals associated to themes as human
rights, mobility, tourism and terrorism.
