I guess planning my own proposal trip should’ve been the first red flag, but I’d been with my boyfriend for nine years, and ignoring signs had practically become a hobby.

So when I caught him cheating-on our couch, no less-I didn’t cry. I packed my stuff. And instead of canceling the romantic Ireland vacation I’d meticulously planned, I added three more tickets and begged my family to tag along.
