JAMES ZIGERELL received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. After having directed a television-based program for the City Colleges of Chicago for over twenty years, he became director of the Instructional Telecommunications Consortium, an affiliate of the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges, and has served as a consultant on instructional television to a variety of higher education organizations.
