Chapter 1: The Mysterious Bath BrushChloe’s very best thing to do was paint. Her room was filled with art of animals, scenery, and fantasy worlds. Chloe chose to clean up her room one sunny afternoon so that she could put her new art supplies where they be. A box her grandma had given her years before came to mind as she cleaned out the attic. Chloe was very interested because she had never opened it before. She went up the creaky stairs to the attic. There was a small window there that let light in and warmed the dusty old boxes. Chloe gave the box her grandma had given her a light sweep to get rid of the dust. The box was old, and the top had beautiful bird and flower designs on it. Chloe was excited as she carefully took the package out of the box. Inside, she found a bunch of old art supplies. There was one brush that stood out among the paints, pencils, and brushes. The paintbrush was beautiful, and the handle was made of dark, smooth wood. The handle had fancy decorations on it that sparkled when they were lit. Chloe had never seen anything like it before. She felt something strange as she picked up the brush. It was like a small electric charge was running through her fingers.
