Once in generation a book comes along that changes how we view parenting. Dr. Spock's Baby & Childcare, first published in 1946 was the parenting manual for millions of families. Other books followed such as the What to Expect series, Playful Parenting, and Parenting with Love & Logic. Most guys would rather jump off the tallest building in town than read any of those books, so they pretty much wing it when they have kids.
