Jamie: Look at that piece! It is so much like the braised pork chunk that we had for lunch!
Frank: You are right. We call the pork ‘Tungpo Meat’. It is the Meat-shaped Stone from the Qing Dynasty.
Jamie: It is just amazing. I wonder how the craftsman can make it so lifelike.
Frank: It is made from jasper. The craftsman made use of this naturally occurring stone and turn the layers and impurities into this masterpiece. He carved it precisely and stained the skin, and it became the way it is now. You can see the layers of skin, fat, and lean meat.

It was established on October 10, 1925 after the last emperor, Puyi, left the Forbidden City in Beijing. The articles in the museum consisted of the valuables of the former Imperial family. In 1931, the Japanese attacked the north of China and threatened Beijing, and Chiang Kai-shek asked the museum to evacuate the most valuable items out of the city. The valuable artifacts were brought to Nanjing and other places. The most valuable pieces were shipped from Nanjing to Taiwan during the Chinese Civil war in 1948 and 1949. They were landed in Keelung and stored in Taichung. In 1965, the museum was finally reopened again in Waishuangxi.
