The Epistle to Galatians, written by St. Paul, is a fascinating letter that discusses the complex themes and issues that the early church Christians faced. Throughout this Epistle, Paul discusses his apostolic authority, the Old Covenant and New Covenant, the work of the Holy Spirit and the life of faith. As we read through Galatians together, we will see Paul’s passion in his ministry and his message of staying true to the gospel during a period of uncertainty for Galatia, as Jewish members of the law attempt to infiltrate the Church with old Jewish practices. Yet the beauty of this epistle lies in its relevance to today’s society. In an age where information is mass-produced and messages of truth are often contradictory, Paul’s letter is a triumphant reminder to stay true to the foundation given to us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
