This book is about Chandigarh, but not about architecture and its planned bits. It talks about life as it happens in this big/small town, and how the world looks from here. Aarish Chhabra’s first book, it is a collection of stories, first-person accounts, social commentary, and anecdotal pieces, all originally published in the author’s weekly column for the Hindustan Times (2013-18). An inside-outside view of Chandigarh, its culture and its people, the book romances and critiques the city in equal measure, treating it both as a subject and a metaphor.
