This chapter of book explores the importance of sustainable supply chains in the context of regenerative tourism, an approach that aims to restore and revitalize ecosystems while supporting local communities. Unlike sustainable tourism, regenerative tourism seeks to have a net positive impact on the destinations visited. The analysis focuses on the fundamental principles that guide a sustainable supply chain, including transparency, traceability, local sourcing, reducing carbon footprint, and promoting social equity. The chapter also describes the key components of a regenerative supply chain, such as the use of eco-friendly materials, local and organic food sourcing, as well as the adoption of low-carbon transportation solutions. Strategies are proposed to integrate sustainability at all levels of the supply chain, including the selection of eco-responsible suppliers and the use of innovative technologies to improve traceability and reduce waste.
