Jason Edwards is a National Geographic photographer and television presenter. He’s been bitten, clawed, chased, chewed, shot at, and stoned (with rocks), defecated and urinated on; smuggled, groomed, diseased, lost, injured, incarcerated, frightened, and enamored. He has spent the past three decades exploring the world with a camera in hand, bearing witness to the miracle of Nature and the complexities of the human condition.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Jason’s journey began as a zookeeper at the Zoological Board of Victoria, fostering a lifelong passion for wildlife and the environment that has defined his illustrious career.

His extensive image portfolio, among the largest in National Geographic Society’s history, reflects a commitment to capturing the essence of the natural world. Recognized globally for his contributions to Science, the Environment, and the Arts, Jason has amassed a plethora of accolades over 25 years.
