　　Surfactants play a critical role in tribology, as they help control friction and wear, while also controlling lubricant properties such as emulsification, demulsification, bioresistance, oxidation resistance, rust prevention, and corrosion resistance. This unique work brings together recent advances in the use of surfactants.
