Seventeen year old Jack Gordon thinks he’s going mad, just like his mother. She believed in mythical beings like elves, dragons and monsters. Jack has even started hearing voices. But then he and his little sister Harriett are attacked by a monster that is definitely real. Led by the voice in his head, Jack and Harriett are magically transported to the realm of the Fae, the land of Anwynn, a veiled fairy otherworld. In Anwynn, Jack learns that elves, dragons and druids (wizards) are very real and that he is a Waycaller: he has the power to part the veil between the hidden fairy realm of Anwynn and the human realm.
Waycaller is a novel combining traditional fantasy elements, a little humour and a lot of intrigue. Waycaller is old-school fantasy for young adult and adult readers. It is the first book in a duology.
