Andrew Blazsanyik was born on May 15, 1948 in Budapest Hungary. He escaped with his parents and siblings in 1951 from the Russian occupation. From Italy, they were granted refugee status in Australia, where they first lived in a transient camp before moving to their first home. He enlisted in the Australian Army and completed a tour of duty in Malaysia. At the age of 39, he emigrated to the United States. After arriving in the USA, Andrew worked for a division of Aon Corporation for over 20 years. He started at a Junior College, at age 42. At age 52, he graduated with a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. During his studies he interned in a Maximum Security prison and then worked on the weekends seeing patients and supervising students in local Count Health Department. After retiring from Corporate at age 60 he worked as a clinical psychologist for the Veterans Administration and the U.S. Navy for 8 years. Andrew currently resides in Vernon Hills, Illinois with his wife. They have been married for over 35 years.
