The aim of this thesis is to verify the profile of students and viable strategies for reintegrating and readapting students who have dropped out of PROEJA, based on the Food Technician course. It is a study in which the studies were carried out through bibliographical, documentary and field research. The focus of this work, divided into five chapters, has a methodological approach with the following characteristics: due to its level of specificity, difficulty, arising from the cause of school dropout. Due to its mixed methodological approach, we opted for the qualitative and quantitative method to collect the data obtained at the Monte Castelo Campus, part of the IFMA network. The methodological approach is action-research, because it is cross-sectional, a type of study adapted to a non-experimental model. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire and semi-structured interview with open and closed questions, a review of scientific literature, documentary analysis and direct observation of what was done in the context of the various situations encountered, which made it possible to analyze the students who dropped out in the midst of their abandonment, and the causes of the dropout.
