In the months since her attack, Margot has worked to rebuild her life and court from the comfort of her husband Ever’s home.

Despite frequent nightmares, she has found peace in Serpent Court, and a friendship with Ever that threatens to deepen into something more.

Her peace cannot last for long, though. Soon Margot is taunted by the memory of Reed Cypress as his comrades begin seeking revenge for his fate. All the while, Ever’s secretive nature has Margot questioning her place both in his life and among the fae of Daybreak.
