This book was based on a study of the level of satisfaction with Quality of Life at Work (QWL) carried out with employees of the Office of Communication and Image of the Mozambican Tax Authority, with the intention of analysing how QWL contributed to changing the behaviour of the employees of this institution by using the QWL assessment model proposed by Richard Walton as a reference. Furthermore, this book contributes to the understanding of what QWL is in public institutions through the use of Richard Walton’s model, emphasising the importance of extending this research to other organisations, given that this topic is less known and very new in existing ones in Mozambique. Investment in the human capital of organisations is essential, as it brings a huge return in the form of quality and productivity.
