Steve looks back down into the box, grabs several lengths of white rope, letting one run through his hand thoughtfully, the fibers tickling his palm. But Adam’s in a rare mood; rope won’t be enough. He sticks his hand back in, comes back up with a blindfold, and gathers everything to his chest, pushing the box back into the closet.

The rope’s for shibari, the only thing Steve can do; he’s good with knots, and the whole emphasis with shibari is on the tied-up person’s pleasure, which is what he wants to give Adam. He doesn’t want to tie Adam up and make him hurt, or suspend him for hours, or anything so extreme.

He just wants to give Adam what he needs.
